With this guitar I sought to build something similiar in visual appearance to a jumbo guitar but narrower and shallower, hence the odd name. It has a very refined tone balance and great volume output. I play fingerstyle as well as flat-picking and wanted a guitar that can retain some appropriate tension when de-tuned. This turned out very effective. My personal model of this guitar is a 658mm scale length and the more common scale length is 650.

Also available with a venetian cutaway or harlequin top: half englemann spruce, half western red cedar. See the Commodore guitar page for more on this concept.
