26.4"/67cm or 25.5"/65cm scale length
14 fret neck

45 mm neck width at nut

This guitar is designed for open-tunings. The extra 1" in scale length creates improved tension on the slackened strings for a crisp and clear tone. With either the extended or regular 25.5" scale the upper-placed soundholes free up more vibrational, character-building area on the top surrounding the bridge. The soundboard is braced tracitionally but with a 'double-X' bracing. The asymettrical bridge shape accentuates a rich bass tone and unmuddied highs with excellent sepation. This combined with the bridge shape brings out a clear and crisp bottom end, even with the low E course tuned down to a C. This steel-string guitar has the tonal balance of a classical guitar with the power of a flat-top.

I am offering this model in tonewoods which I think are exceptional for this concept. Please enquire if you have any particular woods in mind.

The extended scale length idea can be adapted to any of my steel-string creations for guitars used for open tunings.
