alternate scale length: Marc Atkinson model with 64cm scale length
14 fret neck
body : 18.7"L / 15.6"W / 4"D
45 mm neck width at nut/ 57mm @ join

This model is based on Mario's collaboration with the Selmer company of France in the 1930's. The scale length here is longer than the average steel-string guitar but also has a 14 fret neck. These guitars are very lightly strung with special strings so they are easy to fret in most cases. The extended scale provides a deeper sustain overall due to increased tension.

Another detail relating to tone change is the oval soundhole. This smaller opening releases more soundboard area around the bridge than the d-hole. It brings out a richer voicing and an even treble-to-bass balance.

I have used Bigtone pickups in these guitars. Other options are available. I can customize the strip colourings of the rosette to suit.
